Born in Montmartre, SisDee is an independent artist at the crossroads of jazz, soul, reggae, hip-hop and spoken word. Since the 80s, she has been building a free and atypical path between music, teaching and travel.

After starting out in the streets and metro of Paris with Afro-Cuban percussion, she discovered reggae and sound system culture, then went to Jamaica for the first time in 1992. Back in France, she founded the Sound Sisters, a female sound system that became a cult classic in Parisian reggae.

Over the years, she has performed on legendary stages such as New Morning, Bataclan or the Stade de France, and her career has crossed paths with artists such as Kery James, Les Nubians, Naughty By Nature or Junior Reid.

In 2013, the Universal Zulu Nation recognized her as the Zulu Queen.

After a profound inner journey in Asia, she became a yoga teacher and, in parallel, developed online French teaching for students from all over the world.

Now based in Kingston, SisDee continues her adventure between music, transmission and creation of her unique musical universe: Jazzamufin.

In 2024, she received an official work permit from the Jamaican government as a self-produced independent artist — a first for a Francophone female artist.

Today, SisDee continues her musical creations between Paris and Jamaica, with the firm conviction that her artistic story is only just beginning.
